This year it will cost over £5.3million to operate the Hospice and provide our services to our local community, with around 16.5% funding from the North Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group. The remaining funds comes from the kind donations made by people like you.
I have not done anything like this for over 15 years, in 2008 I was involved in a car accident that shattered my left knee, after three failed reconstructive surgery procedures I was told that I would never run again ( only thing I ever ran for was the ice cream van) but this has limited things I can do apart from cycling which is why I have chosen to take part in this great charity event.
Over the years I have spent lots of time with my old friends Ken Tucky and Mac Donald so this will be a challange! but well worth it, It may not seem much to most people but this will be a big challange for me.
I want to support St Michael's Hospice as a thank you to them for the wonderful support they give. I want to raise money to help the charity support other individuals and families. I just wish I could do more.
Please give generously even if it's for the comedy aspect of me riding a bike in such a unhealthy state.
