Story
My name is Thalia. 18 months ago I was diagnosed with brain cancer. When I was told it was very scary because the year before my Nana had died of cancer. The past year and a half was very hard. I had two surgeries, chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
I feel blessed that my tumour is currently stable. However, many kids die from this disease because there are no treatments.
My hope is that one day we will not have to lose our friends and family to this disease. That is why we are doing the Walk of Hope for Brain Tumour Research.
Walk of Hope is our annual national event raising money to bring hope to brain tumour patients and their families.Every September, hundreds of supporters join Brain Tumour Research Walk of Hope events taking place across the UK or organise their own walks in their community, set up fundraising pages and make donations to help find a cure for brain tumours, which kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer.
