Sadly in recent years my girlfriends amazing Grandma has been diagnosed with dementia. She has always been a strong independent lady, so to see her deteriorate with dementia has been heart breaking. I've chosen to complete the trek in order to raise funds for the Alzheimers Society in order to hopefully prevent other people from going through the same battle.
