In February 2022 I lost my Grandma to Dementia, but in reality we lost Grandma well before this because of this horrible disease. This was the same with my Great Grandma, who also had dementia but I was too young to really understand what was happening. 

I want to help The Alzheimer Society to continue the fight against dementia. I have seen first hand how quickly a person with dementia can deteriorate but also the affects it’s has on family. In my experience,  both my auntie and mum became a caregiver for my grandma and grandad and the importance of those who can supply specialist care.
