Story
So that's it, challenge over, it was bloody hot, hilly and hard.
Well done to all the Willmott Dixon runners, walkers, mountain bikers and road cyclists and not forgetting our amazing support team.
There's lot of tired people hobbling round the office today but we do it willingly for Chestnut Tree, we know how much it costs to keep the hospice running (£7k per) day and we want to do all we can to help.
Please help us and donate where you can
Over 100 colleagues from the Cobham and Dartford offices of Willmott
Dixon Construction will be taking part in the 2018 Cobham Challenge – The Jurassic
Classic!
This year we will be raising funds to support Chestnut Tree House. This is the
only children's hospice in East and West Sussex and cares for over 280 children
and young adults from 0-25 years of age with progressive life-limiting
conditions from Sussex and South East Hampshire. There are potentially 1,000
families with life-limited children in Sussex. Chestnut Tree House offers
support for the whole family including psychological and bereavement support,
end of life and short break care and sibling support.
As our name suggests, our challenge takes place along the Jurassic
Coast; England’s first natural UNESCO World Heritage Site which ranks among the
Great Barrier Reef and the Grand Canyon as one of the wonders of the natural
world, situated on the English Channel coast of southern England. It stretches
from Exmouth in East Devon to Studland Bay in Dorset.
Our challenge will
commence on Thursday 28th June.
