Children and adults with Down’s syndrome are all unique individuals with their own personalities, family backgrounds and preferences that make them who they are.
We aim to create the conditions that all people with Down’s syndrome need to live full and rewarding lives.
Story
My Marathon Challenge
When I decided to enter the 2010 Belfast Marathon I didn’t have to look far for a charity that would benefit from my efforts. My sister Ann was born with Down’s syndrome. Very sadly, Ann passed away in 1987, not long before her 7th birthday but I still have many happy memories of our time together In later years I learned from my mother how important the DSA had been to her and the support she had received. I took up running in February 2009 and have set myself the personal challenge of completing the Belfast marathon and raising money for Down’s Syndrome Association.
I know that we are going through a tough time at the moment but I would be so grateful for any donation no matter how small. The charity do great work and appreciate peoples support.
Thank you all so much
Chris
