Story
From my old mate, Adam Pendlebury:
"In July 2022, after suffering two seizures, I was diagnosed with a brain tumour.
I underwent brain surgery at the Walton Centre in Liverpool, before embarking on radiotherapy and chemotherapy at the Christie hospital in Manchester. All the staff responsible for the treatments were fantastic. However, during my research into brain tumours, I was shocked to learn that brain cancer is the biggest cancer killer of the under 40s in the UK.
I'm a member of a Facebook group whose aim is to increase awareness of brain cancer and better fund research.
My good friend Chris Henson is going to attempt a fantastic challenge of cycling 274 miles in August for brain tumour research, but he's assured me that he'll do at least 1,000 miles in the name charity!
Please support Chris with this fantastic initiative for a great cause 👏"
Cycle 274 Miles Challenge | Brain Tumour Research
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. This is unacceptable! I am fundraising for Brain Tumour Research as they are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK. Please help me fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
