Strictly Ball 2018 · 16 June 2018 ·

Teens Unite supports young people fighting cancer to live their best life, while others search for a cure. We inspire young people to recognise their potential now and in the future and empower them to live every moment to the full.

Story

Hello,

Welcome to our Just Giving page!

We are 3 very good friends who have known each for many years (well two of us are married to each other). When we were approached by Teens Unite to take part in the Essex Strictly Dancing Ball we jumped at the chance but boy are we all panicking now.

Although we all think we can cut some shapes on the dance floor after a few drinks, nothing could have prepared us for what we have got ourselves into!!

With the help of Paula’s dance academy we have each been assigned a very patient and highly professional dance partner (that we have to self fund )

We now only have 5 weeks left to learn our dance routine and perform in front of 350 people at the strictly ball on June the 16th. Which also now means we only have 5 weeks to raise £6000 for Teens unite.

We would be extremely grateful for any donations as every pound counts towards such an amazing charity.

Thanks to everyone for all your support it means the world to us, and those the money helps.

Alex, Lee and Chris

Teens Unite is the only charity in the UK to provide on-going support to 13-24 year olds fighting cancer from diagnosis through to post-remission. Seven young people are diagnosed with cancer every
day in the UK and Teens Unite brings them together through workshops and activities so they can spend valuable time with others their age in a similar situation to themselves. The charity helps to rebuild the confidence and self-esteem of those it supports and prevents feelings of isolation during what can be a long and lonely battle.
