Great Wall of China Trek 2017 · 9 September 2017

For almost 40 years we’ve harvested rainwater to support remote communities, originally in India now Ghana & Uganda. Our work improves health, reduces poverty, builds climate change resilience & frees women from water procurement. To date we’ve worked in 2,000+ villages helping 2.3 million people.

Story

For 30 years Wells for India has worked with the poorest communities, in the most desolate locations, to provide life-saving and sustainable water solutions. I would like to raise as much money as  I can  to help their inspiring work to continue! For if there is no water, there can be no life ...

In September this year I will be taking part in a trek along part of The Great Wall of China - please help me raise as much money as possible so that I can reach my target. Every little helps!

All money raised will go towards the "Every Drop Counts!" appeal. In this appeal Wells for India works with rural communities to find ways to capture and preserve water so both flora and fauna have enough to live. Drip irrigation allows water to drip slowly to the roots of crops (and trees) through a simple piping system - using less water means stronger healthier crops.

Take a look at their website to see an amazing video of the benefits this can bring. https://www.wellsforindia.org/donate/everydropcounts/
