Additional funding will enable crucial advances to be made in understanding & treating childhood brain tumours.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

When we heard about the event we were all very keen to get involved for the fun of a sporting challenge, (Still high on the excitement of Le Tour de Yorkshire, we thought this might prompt us to actually get our bikes out of the shed !) Then we remembered a couple of significant anniversaries that made it all seem like it just had to be . It is exactly 30 years this summer since Dave and I met at Nottingham University. How lovely to have an excuse to go back and show Danny!

Also sadly, it is two years this summer since Danny lost a 10yr old playmate to brain cancer, so Team Hill/Cooper will be riding specifically in memory of our good friend Elijah Miller, who is deeply missed by many.

We've chosen the event that we feel confident to take part in as a family of occasional cyclists. At the same time, serious road cyclists will be heading off into the Peak District and back on 50 and 75 mile routes, as well as an incredible  1,400 mile tour of Britain being undertaken by a team of staff and students from the University. Check out the website for the charity.

We haven't set a target for fundraising but we hope that you will support this important cause in any way that you can. Many thanks.

Christine Hill, David and Danny Cooper.
