Story

I've been lucky enough to secure a place running(ish... hopefully) in the 2022 London Marathon, representing Calvert Trust Exmoor. It's a huge privilege to be able to do so, and I really hope I can repay them by achieving my fundraising target of £1600 in donations to help them to keep doing fantastic work in the heart of North Devon.

Calvert Trust Exmoor is an adventure centre that enables people with physical, learning, behavioural and sensory disabilities to experience exciting, challenging and enjoyable activities, together with their friends and families. As a charity, they need to raise in excess of £400,000 each year to help those with disabilities to conquer their goals with a break at their all-inclusive centre. Every donation, no matter how large or small, helps disabled guests enjoy their activities and achieve their full potential.

I’ve lived in this area all my life and know how easy it is to take our beautiful surroundings for granted. I now have two young children of my own and have spent many happy days making the most of the space and exploration on offer at Wistlandpound Reservior. The presence of Calvert Trust there, helping those who are less able and fortunate than my own family to also enjoy such a wonderful place, is a powerful and heart-warming reminder of what charity can do in society. I hope that I can raise some money and awareness to help that continue.

Thank you for any support you can give me.
