Chris Grogan - London Marathon 2025 for Great Ormond Street Hospital

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·
*UPDATE*
I completed the 2025 London Marathon in 5:17:56. For the first 7 miles I set off at 4h30 pace, just after 7.5miles I had someone stand on my heel, and then my calf tightened, I took the decision to enjoy it and walk a bit run a bit which was probably a sensible decision given how hot it was
Thank you to everyone who has donated to Gt Ormond Street and sponsored me, I am pleased to say after gift aid, and my employer's £matching is included I will have raised £5,232.24 for this amazing charity... a sincere heartfelt thank you from me to every single one of you for all the donations.
Chris
On 27th April 2025 I will be running the London Marathon for the Great Ormond Street Hospital charity.
Great Ormond Street Hospital is a cause very close to my heart...both of my children, Katie and Harry, have been patients at the hospital, and I feel raising money for the charity would be a great way to give something back.
I took up running in 2017 and have been regularly running since then - completing distances from 5k up to 10 miles.
Coincidentally, I will be completing the London Marathon on my 40th birthday weekend - so my birthday will always be something to remember (or never forget!)
Thanks for taking the time to visit and read my Just Giving page, and if you are able to sponsor me it would be greatly appreciated
Thanks again,
Chris

Childhood is special. It should be a time of joy, wonder, curiosity and fun. Of making friends, making mistakes, and growing into the adults we become. But it’s also fragile, and sometimes all too brief.
That’s why Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity raises funds to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. For the children from all over the UK who are treated by Great Ormond Street Hospital every day, for children with rare or complex illnesses everywhere, for this generation and all those to come. Because no childhood should be lost to serious illness.
I'm taking part in the 2025 TCS London Marathon for TeamGOSH, and by sponsoring me, you’re helping to give seriously ill children the best chance and the best childhood possible. Thank you!
