BD UK: Peak Challenge for Diabetes Research & Wellness Foundation
Over 30 days (hopefully quicker) I will be trying to climb higher than Mount Everest by climbing 1000 ft per day. All to add up to 30,000ft which will be slightly higher than the offical height of Mount Everest (29,000ft). November is Diabetes awareness month and World Diabetes day is the 14th of November (so hopefully I will be half way up by then!).
DRWF are a charity that helps fund diabetes research in the UK and around the world, to help understand the causes, prevention, treatment and management.
Charities are having a hard time during the current pandemic to do their usual activities to help raise money, so I would like to be able to help support them and reach the peak of Mount Everest.
I am also in Liverpool and in a Tier 3 lockdown right now, so moving, exercising and doing something different is important for my own physical and mental health.
If you can donate anything it would be very much appreciated!
