We campaign, support and fund research to stop people dying of bowel cancer

Story

Our team is divided into family and friends, we are trying to raise money for the second biggest cancer killer, Bowel Cancer. My family suffer from a disease called Familial Adenomatous Polyposis (FAP), this is an inherited disorder characterized by cancer of the large intestine and rectum. People with the classic type of FAP may begin to develop multiple growths in the colon, as early as their teenage years. Recently we lost my twin brother at the age of just 40, leaving behind a fiance and a daughter aged 11. Just before he passed away, we found out his daughter also carries the gene. As a family, we would like to raise awareness and funds towards research into FAP, through the charity Bowel Cancer UK, so my brothers daughter, along with other families, who are also suffering from the disease, have the best chance of survival in the future. We have just completed the Yorkshire 3 peaks which was one of the hardest things I have put my body through thank you all for your donations but we aren’t done yet we will be completing the snowdon 6 in July traversing all 6 paths in 24 hours
