Story

The People Animal Care Trust (PACT) Animal Sanctuary, currently cares for more than 1,600 dogs, cats and animals of all shapes and sizes at its base at River Farm in Norfolk. PACT has re-homed an estimated 5,000 animals since it was set up in 1995, and helped countless people transform their lives through contact with animals through its on-site therapy centre.

Co Founder of the PACT animal sanctuary Chris Rockingham passed away suddenly on the 17th March 2019 aged 72.

Five years ago it was Chris' idea and inspiration that led to the PACT Wildlife Project. The lives of many animals have been saved because of her dedication and vision, and PACT are committed to carrying on her vital work and realising her vision.

To complete the site in her name and just as she envisioned, it will cost a further £50,000 to build the flights and recovery pens to care for the animals before their release, and to care for the disabled ones who will live in peace and safety at River Farm for the rest of their lives.

About the charity

The people for animal care trust (PACT) was established by a group of people dedicated to animal welfare and registered as a charity in 1995. PACT rescues, rehabilitates and where possible re-homes neglected, injured and abandoned animals. We are currently home to over 1600 rescue animals.
