Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-limiting genetic condition affecting more than 10,000 people across the UK. It affects the lungs and digestive system and can cause chronic infections and reduced lung function. 

I want to raise awareness and money for this important charity and frankly increasing the toughness of 'the toughest foot-race in the world' seams to be a good way to do it.  

What I am taking on is will be the toughest of any sporting challenges I have attempted but in no way as tough as this disease.  I am on the hunt for both personal and corporate sponsorship to help the fight for a brighter future for people with CF and their families.  The CF do this by funding cutting-edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones every step of the way.  

My attempt to keep a plastic helmet and armour on for 260Km through 40+ degrees of heat seams a reasonable challenge .... Many thanks in advance,
