Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 23rd of September, 2012 I gave birth to my little boy Ryan at 19 weeks. He was born sleeping. So, to mark the 7th anniversary of his birth I'm running the Scottish Half Marathon to celebrate his existence and the journey we've been on together.  This will be my 2nd year in a row running the Scottish half for Sands,  and I'm determined to be fitter, stronger and faster.

Losing a baby teaches you so much about life and it takes you to some pretty low and dark places. Running has been a huge help to me, not just physically but mentally; I feel closer to him when I'm out running. I feel him beside me, pushing me on and motivating me to turn our tragicy into something positive.

I've also shared mine and Ryan's story on my own blog, where you can see how far we've come over the past 7 years. https://lostlittleprince.blogspot.com/ Alongside running, writing has been a great way to help too.
