Welcome to my JustGiving fundraising page! I am running the 2025 Edinburgh Half Marathon for Teenage Cancer Trust, aiming to raise as much money as possible for this incredible charity.

My name is Christian and I’m a 23 year old from Edinburgh. I'm currently completing a Master's in Business Administration as a scholar-athlete at Boise State University on their Track and Field/Cross Country team. Last year, after noticing some unusual lumps, I was unfortunately diagnosed with Burkitt Lymphoma, a type of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, and underwent three rounds of chemotherapy to fight the disease.

Thankfully, in November 2024, I entered full remission and have been recovering well ever since. During my treatment, I was incredibly fortunate to be cared for on the Teenage Cancer Trust ward at the Western General Hospital. Before my diagnosis, I wasn’t fully aware of the vital work Teenage Cancer Trust does to support young people living with cancer. They provide specialised nurses, youth workers, and hospital units designed specifically for young patients, helping them live the best possible life during and after treatment.

Teenage Cancer Trust made one of the toughest periods of my life far more manageable. Their support extended beyond medical care, offering emotional and social support that helped me through each stage of treatment. I’m fundraising to ensure that more young people facing the challenges of cancer can benefit from the same extraordinary care I received.

This race also marks an important step in my personal journey back to competitive running. I hope this challenge can show that life after a cancer diagnosis and treatment is full of possibilities - and that recovery can lead to living and thriving as before.
