Random Act Of Kindness Day - New Oven · 17 February 2022

Christian Kitchen is a charity provision that seeks to feed homeless and marginalised people in Waltham Forest. Each evening volunteer crews take out the purpose built van to a place near Walthamstow Market where around 50 people gather for food. All costs are met through contributions.

Story

My random act of kindness today is to launch an appeal for the amazing Rosida, who tirelessly runs a soup kitchen in Walthamstow
called Christian Kitchen. At Sitesales we volunteer for Christian Kitchen every month and donate whatever we can.

Every night Rosida and her team feed 100 homeless people. She is not paid. She has done this every evening for 10 years. That’s 3650 evenings, 365,000 meals.

Heaven knows how many lives she has saved.

She never ever gives herself a day off and she is a real life modern day
angel.

Rosida's oven has broken and she works with just a Hob. Imagine cooking 100 meals a day on just that.

She'd desperately love a proper oven so that she can bake cakes and more for her hungry families that she feeds every night of the week.

The oven is a vital tool that she uses every single day of the year to
give the needy and marginalised people a three course meal ( soup, main meal and a pudding)

On Random acts of kindness day please give whatever you can so that we can buy Rosida a sparkling new oven.

Our target today is £1500.

By the way, if you're in flooring or roofing, Rosida also needs a roof for her store shed and a vinyl floor for her kitchen!
