I am raising money for CMV Action as a very good friend of mine's family has been personally affected and I want to raise and support the great work that they do to support anyone affected in this way. All money raised will help people like Jasmine above
Not many people are aware of this infection that affects pregnant women and unborn babies in so many ways.
CMV Action do not receive any government funding and it costs the charity £20,000 a year to help and support families affected by CMV, a little donation can make a huge difference
- £7 will fund our volunteer helpline for one day
- £12 provides 2 information packs for women working in childcare. Research has shown us that pregnant women working in childcare settings are at greater risk of infection
- £30 buys an essential training aid to educate midwives on the preventative measures pregnant women can make to reduce their risk of CMV infection
CMV Action offer advice, support and friendship to anyone affected by Congenital CMV, advocating for families and working with a number of medical professionals who have in interest in this field
