As you know, last year we tragically lost a beautiful shining light in Anna. She fought an incredibly brave battle with cancer and spent a significant part of her final months at the Priscilla Bacon Hospice and received such wonderful care and support. 

They do fantastic work in such challenging circumstances and I wanted to give something back in her memory. As many of us did, I felt useless at the time, but this I can try and do. It has been a tricky training period, interrupted with injury and then covid but with 4 weeks to go, now is the time to step up the sponsorship efforts.

The timing of such fundraising is not ideal given the outrageous cost of living crisis but any contribution however small would be most gratefully received and would go a long way to helping this great charity build a new hospice (details below).

CHARITY STATEMENT:

We are fundraising to build a desperately needed new hospice for Norfolk and Waveney. We have already raised over £10m of our £12.5m target, which allows us to break ground in early 2022, but we still need your help! We should have 47-59 specialist palliative care beds in Norfolk, but we have just 16. The population is growing and people are living longer, so greater capacity is urgently needed.The new hospice will boast the most modern facilities and a wider range of services, giving people a greater choice of care.
