On Sunday 5th November 2006 I COMPLETED the New York Marathon for Capability Scotland.

I finished in 4 hours 27 minutes and 4 seconds!!

The experience whilst exhausting was utterly exhilirating and I would recommend New York to anyone mad enough to consider running a marathon.

It is hard to find the words to describe the mixed emotions of joy, pride and relief at the end of what has really been a 7 month journey. The most humbling and ultimately rewarding part of the experience has been the pledges made to me directly and on-line for Capability Scotland. Having set my target at £2,000, I have had to consistently revise this figure upwards as sponsorship increased. I am now keen to "round up" the figures to a neat and tidy £8,000 which would surpass all expectations.
