All over the world young people continue to contract HIV and AIDS. Despite the incredible work being done in the medical field the epidemic continues to outpace the response.

Why?

One reason is a lack of resource and knowledge in some of the most affected communities: knowledge that can equip young people to take control of their sexual and reproductive health and well being. This is where MTV Staying Alive comes in, funding grass root projects for LGBTQ and cis-gender young people alike, to educate, prevent, campaign and to keep sex safe. We also self-produce global reach media content, breaking down taboos and delivering vital information about HIV/AIDS and sexual health.

EMERGE, Viacom's LGBTQ and Straight Ally group are pledging to raise as much cash as possible by 2020 to fund the foundation's crucial work - the LGBTQ community and women and girls remain two of the highest risk groups for AIDS and AIDS related deaths.

Please, please, PLEASE donate generously - face-planting the cold, hard earth of rural Cambridgeshire will be worth it if we can help this brilliant cause.
