When everything else is changing and the world has gone COVID mad, The Christie are still there to provide world class cancer treatment. The Christie rely on fundraising and donations to keep on keeping on. Because of COVID, all of their usual events have had to be cancelled or postponed and they need our help! Faye, a member of our team, had her mum Dianne experience their sheer amazingness first hand and receive treatment for 9 years before she passed away in January 2019. We know how good they are and we want to keep the donations coming in for them so that The Christie can can continue thier research and trials to work on finding a cure and supporting cancer patients in need.

The charity asked how we can help, and we want to, so we’ve formed ’Team Christie Christmas Mince Pies’  with just 3 and a half weeks notice to complete a Christmas event and raise some money. Because of COVID, things are a bit tricky to do anything on mass, so on Saturday 5th December at any point between 6am and 6pm, each team member is going to complete either a 5k or 10k run, jog or walk in a christmas jumper, t-shirt, shirt, vest, dress, costume (basically anything that is clearly and visibly festive!) and provide photographic evidence to Matt and Faye Brown to share the success! We’ll also all be donning Christie Tattoos.

We’ve given everyone an individual target of just £25 to raise - which with the number of team members getting involved would be able to exceed our team goal of £500.
