Pedal to Paris 2023 · 31 August 2023 to 4 September 2023 ·
Update: I had planned to complete this challenge in 2022, unfortunately I spent majority of 2022 recovering from long covid and ongoing iron deficiency. Now, i am back and ready to do this :)
Please read on to see how your donation will help so many people.
I need to raise £1,949 in total. The initial payment of £259 I have paid and I will also cover part of my costs for the event to increase the amount of money received by the Royal British Legion.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For me (and my bum) this is massive challenge but one I am honoured to take part in and raise funds for such a wonderful charity. #TeamLegion
Over 90,000 people turn to the Royal British Legion for help every year. Many face life changing or life limiting situations and struggle with things we may take for granted. I'm taking part in the Pedal to Paris 2023; cycling 460km (285 miles) over four days to raise money for the Legion to help change the lives of those in the Armed Forces community including our veterans; who can feel isolated and alone to lead dignified and fulfilled lives.
Please support my challenge so that the Royal British Legion can continue to help support our Armed Force community.
How your donation helps
£ 5 could pay for a grab rail for a vulnerable veteran to live independently and safely in their own home.
£10 could provide a dinner set to ensure someone has the basics they need to eat a meal at home.
£20 could pay for a memory box of photos for a person with dementia helping them to recall events and friends from the past.
£25 could provide emergency overnight accommodation in a hotel or bed-and-breakfast.
£50 could pay for food vouchers for a family facing financial hardship.
Pedal to Paris
Setting off from London on the the four-day event will take you through beautiful English and French countryside covering a total of 460km.
Once in France, we coordinate rolling road closures so you can cycle from Calais to the very heart of Paris without having to think about traffic, junctions or red lights. This is the only cycling event apart from the Tour de France that the Arc de Triomphe closes for.
