Story
Following on from Icelandic trek for Sue Ryder last year, I have signed myself up for my biggest challenge yet as I am taking part in the Great North Run to raise funds for the Children's Heart Surgery Fund, Walker Morris' charity of the year.
Most of you who know me well will know I am not a natural runner (I am certainly not built like one!) and that in fact I do not like running at all, so running 13.1 miles in one of the most famous half marathons truly is a challenge for me.
As chair of the Walker Morris Charity Committee I have seen how important the work the Children's Heart Surgery Fund is and I hope to raise as much as possible to ensure they can keep providing such special care and support.
