Story
When I first learned about Over The Wall (OTW), I felt touched by the work they do to give seriously ill children an opportunity to tap into their playful, mischievous and curious qualities of being a kid - elements that should be key to any childhood but often missed out on by children with a serious illness or disability.
OTW provides activity camps free of charge, which offer these children and their families a safe space to be brave, connect with others and have fun. They can creating memories, and also build self-esteem and confidence, that will be carried well beyond their OTW experience.
I jumped at the opportunity to support OTW through the London Landmarks Half Marathon. I have never considered myself much a runner - I hadn't ever ran more than 5k before training for this, but I am determined to push myself beyond what I thought was possible physically and mentally, and embrace into these child-like qualities of curiosity and excitement that can sometimes be forgotten as adults.
I would be very grateful if you would donate to my JustGiving page to spur me on and, more importantly help with the incredible work that OTW does. See you at the finish line!
