Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. This is in loving memory of my Mum, who sadly passed away on 25th January 2023 from dementia and for my Dad who is now going through his own dementia journey.

It was so sad seeing my very independent, social and caring Mum disappear as she was taken on her dementia journey. As a family we had to learn how to live with Mum's dementia which was hard at times as we had to understand what dementia was and how it affected people and find out about what we could do to support Mum and ourselves. Whilst we learnt a lot about the impact of dementia with Mum, its a different journey we now find we are on with Dad. I personally have used Dementia UK resources and the phone support service which I found so useful and helpful. That is why I applied to take part in the London Skyscraper challenge and be a member of #Team Dementia UK ! 

So once again I face my fear of heights by taking part in this unique challenge and I keep telling myself it is an absolute rare opportunity to be able to abseil down one of Londons iconic buildings!!!
