Event: Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Challenge, from 1 July 2023 to 2 July 2023
Ryedale Special Families is looking for a special new home so we’re more accessible for our families, can offer improved facilities, develop new services and provide even greater support.

Story

In January 2023 the combination of the ever-increasing care needs for my elderly parents, keeping my business going as we face a recession and then being mugged whilst riding my Brompton bike in London has been a challenge to my resilience.

The mugging incident made me feel fearful for the first time about riding my bike and I just stopped for a few weeks. I am slowly getting back and am determined to get back to my happy place whilst cycling. I choose this challenge as it will be a challenge - in the last 2 months I have cycled less than the mileage I will have to do over 2 days! The event is also raising funds for a service that supports, advocates and encourages families and young people with all kinds of disabilities.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
