Story
I was a late starter when it came to running but over the last few years I have taken part in various runs 5k, 10k, 10 mile and of course Half Marathon. As training does not not get any easier especially for a Senior Citizen this may well be my last Half Marathon (mind you I have said this before !). Neil and I will be running the 2014 Reading Half Marathon on Sunday 2nd March come rain or shine - last year it snowed !
I will be raising funds in memory of my grandson Joshua for Climb - Children Living with Inherited Metabolic Diseases www.climb.org.uk
Grandchildren are very special as was Joshua, He was born on a glorious sunny September day 2004 and sadly taken from us in Spring 2006 with " undiagnosed MCADD"
The Government has now put in place a programme to screen all new borns for MCADD, as the condition is treatable if diagnosed.
Climb supported our family throughout this difficult time. Climb has to rely on fundraising and your generosity would be appreciated.
