This June, The Kirkwood are delighted to be working in partnership with WOVEN in Kirklees for The Big Rainbow Knit 2021!The event is going to be bigger than ever and from Saturday 5th June until Sunday 27th June 2021, the six grand pillars of Huddersfield Railway Station will be yarn bombed in big, bright knitted rainbows and I am taking part! The plan is to knit, crochet or craft a minimum of 2500 squares to contribute to the rainbows and I am raising sponsorship to help The Kirkwood #SupportLifeBy sponsoring me to take part in this challenge, you will be funding the work of The Kirkwood Nurses on the In-Patient Unit and in homes across Kirklees. You'll be helping the Support & Therapy team to reach out to more people to manage their symptoms and get the care they need. And you'll be supporting those dealing with grief to find new ways to cope and carry on living. The Kirkwood couldn't do this with the support of people in our communities.Thank you.

I'm so pleased I can use my crafting skills to be able to help in this wonderful event for Kirkwood hospice. The team at Kirkwood cared for my dear husband Alan. I can't thank them enough for the fantastic care they gave him.
