Help me Raise Funds for the Afghan Refugee Resettlement in Atlanta

2021-2022 Catholic Leadership Class · 18 October 2021 ·
I'm supporting the work of Catholic Charities Atlanta (CCA) to help receive and accommodate 100 out of the 2000 Afghanistan individuals arriving in Atlanta right now.
As we all know, the withdrawal of U.S. forces in Afghanistan left millions of Afghan citizens vulnerable and in search of a new home to escape persecution and violence.
The young man teaching those children in my picture above is a personal friend of mine who unfortunately did not succeed in making it out of his country.
He lives his day to day in scarcity and in fear of his life.
In honor of my friend, I'm proud to support the work Catholic Charities is doing to help those that did make it to the US.
The mission of CCA is to help the evacuated families who have supported America’s efforts in Afghanistan over the past 20 years and to help them rebuild their life here in their new country.
The CCA refugee resettlement program is so successful that they're able to help families achieve economic and social self-sufficiency within 6 months of arriving in the United States.
As you can imagine, these families left their homes with only what they could carry on their backs along with a brave, resilient, and optimistic heart.
To help welcome and integrate these families into in their new home here in Atlanta, consider donating to my page this Giving Tuesday.
Your dollar goes a long way, here's how your donation can impact an Afghan individual:
