Helping Families and Children in Need as we come out of lockdown. Money raised will provide bursary places and financial assitance with wraparound childcare for families facing financial hardship.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

On Friday 4th June I will be cycling 70 miles from Redhill to Portsmouth, staying overnight before boarding a ferry to the Isle of Wight and cycling the 67 mile Round the Island route. Then, having returned to Portsmouth for the night, we cycle 70 miles again back to Redhill. Yikes!! Some of you will know that I have become keen on cycling since the beginning of the first lockdown but for me those are big distances and it is a big challenge. Definitely hoping for better weather so that I can enjoy all the sea views from the Island and take my mind off of the hills!

So I'll be cycling as part of a team to raise funds for the YMCA Life Change Fund in East Surrey. This aims to support young people in our area who are really struggling following Covid due to such difficulties  as family breakdown, homelessness, unemployment, mental health issues, domestic and substance abuse. Some of the students I work with I know have benefitted from the thoughtful and consistent support of the YMCA.

Please give what you can to help the YMCA Life Change Fund.

Thank you.
