I had the opportunity to take part in an exciting adventure challenge which was walking 100 km of the Camino Way with some old school friends in June 2022. This was very much a personal and charitable quest in which I am raising funds for St Mary’s Church West Bank, Widnes. 

St Mary’s Church has always been a big part  of mine and so many other people’s lives. The church is 111 years old and has stood the test of time. I would like to raise some funds and awareness it it’s plight. The church is in desperate need to be transformed into a multi-purpose building which will be fit for purpose to serve the local community and beyond for everyone to enjoy. The requirements which are immediately essential are for the toilet facilities to be upgraded including disable toilet, a small kitchen area to be installed to facilitate a cafe and the heating to run more efficiently. This will immensely improve the facilities and breathe new life into St Mary’s enabling the church to continually serve and be part of the local community. Without this new transformation for St Mary’s the future definitely will hang in the balance.
