As some of you may know, it won’t be long until I reach a milestone birthday (in June). After losing Robert last year, I feel there is no need for anyone to go to the trouble of buying me gifts or cards. 

There is nothing I need or want and it would mean much more to me if donations were made instead to improving the relatives’ room of ICU2 at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital. Improvements made to this room in Robert’s memory would be much appreciated and, when added to the generous donations from Robert’s memorial service and the amazing fundraising efforts of his friends and colleagues at HMRC, will make a real difference to the lives of anyone who has the misfortune to have to use this room.
