Hi Everyone

Well we did it!! Saturday evening started off very windy and we were all freezing when this picture was taken. We met at the hotel and made our way to Playtex city with our supporters (Nick, Gary, Richard and Ellie).

After queuing for ages we said goodbye to the boys and went in. What a build up, it was great. As it got dark we prepared ourselves for the long walk ahead. Bras on show we donned the clear plastic ponchos to give us some protection from the elements. At 2345hrs our start was called and we were off! The ponchos were soon discarded after a couple of miles when we warmed up.

The atmosphere was amazing and the support we received was bril! Nick and Gary saw us at Hyde Park corner then they went to bed and returned a few hours later to cheer us on again with Richard and Ellie. The volunteers were brilliant keeping us going through the early hours.

Five of the team completed the challenge. Unfortunately, Carol had to retire on medical advice and Karen provided the much needed support to her.

The remaining 5 of us completed the 26.2 miles! finishing in two groups just over 10 minutes apart. What a feeling and sense of achievement. We were all on a high!

A massive thank you to all of you who sponsored us. We are really proud of the amount of money we have raised. We know the effort we put into this challenge and the total is a great reward for us.
