Toronto Marathon · 25 February 2009

When a child is diagnosed with a heart problem it is a difficult time for the whole family. The Children’s Heart Association would like to help. We hold support meetings across the area; provide equipment and toys for our wards and clinics; and work closely with your cardiac team.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

This year I am running the Cape Wrath Marathon (23rd May) and my husband, David, and I will be running the Toronto Marathon (18th October) for the Children's Heart Association in memory of my eldest daughter 'Bethan Webb'.

Bethan passed away suddenly on Saturday 17th May 2008 whilst out playing with her friends. She was said to have had Long QT Syndrome.

Bethan's loss has devasted all her family and friends around her and because of this I would like to make more people aware of the condition and at the same time assist a worthy charity which helps relieve the suffering and distress, and promotes the welfare of children and young adults with congenital heart conditions in particular by the support of parents and families, so that their conditions of life may be improved.
