Story

This month I am taking part in the Miles for MS challenge and am aiming to walk 50 miles in May. This is a month long sponsored journey to raise money for the MS Trust, a charity supporting people with Multiple Scleroiss (MS) from diagnosis and throughout their journey and they are solely run on genrous donations.

Only a few of you will be aware, but I was first diagnosed with the life
changing illness multiple sclerosis back in 2015 after first
experiencing symptoms seven years earlier. It's a disease that is

sadly still not a very well understood condition as to its causes, and it is incurable. It changes your life forever and without the support of the MS nurses and charities like the MS Trust, navigating those changes would be infinitely harder.

The MS Trust is the smaller of the two main MS charities in the UK and believes nobody should have to manage multiple sclerosis alone. They are there for everyone affected by MS, from the moment of diagnosis and throughout their journey. They're here today, tomorrow and every day after, making sure that a life with MS isn't a life defined by MS. The MS Trust receives no government or NHS funding. and It's only thanks to the generosity of their supporters, that they continue their work, such as providing an MS information book, which can help a person with MS better understand their condition - this greatly helped me in the early days following my initial diagnosis!

Donating what you can to help that work and support continue would mean a lot to not only me but thousands more around the UK!

About the MS Trust:

£6 could pay for one copy of an MS information book, which can help a person with MS better understand their condition.

£15 could pay for one of our information specialists to provide telephone support to a person with MS.

£100 could cover the cost to provide our Making Sense of MS guide to everybody diagnosed with MS in one week.
