Story
In 2011 my daughter, Olivia aged 21, founded Rise Africa UK, which is now supporting the education of 66 children, 38 at Bright Stars nursery school and sponsoring 28 children at local primary and secondary schools.
Olivia and I are running the Great North Run on the 15th September and the Royal Parks Half Marathon on the 6th October to raise money that will allow Rise Africa to continue supporting the education of some of the poorest children in Tanzania. Bright Stars Nursery was opened in memory of my father, Hugh Faulkner, and he would be so proud of what his granddaughter has achieved.
We are running two half marathons to support the ongoing work of Rise Africa UK:
1) Send at least 5 of the brightest children at Bright Stars nursery school to private primary school in January 2014 - £400 per child per year
2) To continue supporting the monthly costs of running the school: £530 a month, £159 per year to give a child hope and a start in life.
Rise Africa UK is making a real difference to the lives of all 66 children and hopes to continue to brighten futures of many more. Please sponsor me as we run two half marathons this autumn. This is not just any sponsorship, it is very personal and I can assure you that 100% of the money donated will be spent directly on the children.
Thank you very much
