As some of you may know my daughter Abigail is going through a difficult time in her life and is being helped by the fantastic people at St Barnabas Hospice. 

On Saturday 31 July I will be attempting to swim 21 miles from England to France to help raise money for this Lincolnshire based charity. For my swim to be officially recognised, I cannot wear a wetsuit! In fact, the only equipment I am allowed is a swimming hat, goggles, a nose clip, ear plugs and my shorts.
