We provide monitoring equipment and alarms to help keep young people living epilepsy safe and regain independence. We support and improve the mental health of bereaved siblings and close friends by funding counselling and other therapies. We work with organisations to promote awareness of SUDEP.

Story

Epilepsy affects both family and friends of mine, more people need to be aware of the risks of SUDEP - please support me and share if you can

I am hoping to beat my dad and sister's total last year.

Jon Shaw Foundation was set up in memory of Jon, who died aged 19 from SUDEP (SUDDEN UNEXPECTED DEATH IN EPILEPSY) in June 2019. The charity aims to - 1. Support young people with epilepsy by providing grants for equipment such as alarms, monitors and other safety aids not normally available through NHS.2. Provide services and activities to improve the mental health of bereaved siblings and closefriends including social events and face to face or group bereavement counselling. 3. Promote awareness of risks in epilepsy including SUDEP.
