On Oct 17 I am sleeping out under the stars with other compassionate CEO's to help raise money and awareness to combat homelessness. It is only the one night and then I retreat to my cosy warm home, but for too many people this is not an option, they face another cold night out under the starts, whatever the weather conditions are. 

For whatever reason anyone's ended up on the street, they deserve to be seen and recognised. Our society and we as individuals tend to dehumanise them to create separation, allowing us to walk past and look away without feeling anything. Homeless people are also extremely vulnerable to criminal gangs, violence and illnesses. In today's society there really is no need for anyone who doesn't choose to be homeless having to be forced into it. 

I challenge you to, next time, stop and connect with a homeless person, ask if you can by them a hot drink and some food. That connection will make that person's day being seen and recognised as human. You will also feel that connection and it could change your life. Step up, be a role model for others to follow and take action.
