In March 2016 when we were expecting our first child during the routine 20 week scan we discovered that our son had Spina Bifida. Unfortunately, we never got to meet our special little man and my whole world was turned upside down. 

Next year I am running the Tokyo, Manchester and London marathons in an 8 week period next spring. Running has become a major part of my life since the loss of my son and has helped me massively in dealing with the loss both mentally and physically.

I am running these marathons to raise much needed funds for Shine in order to help individuals, children and families affected by Spina Bifida, as well as honouring my son and his memory.
