We did it, we did it, we did it!

On the 11th and 12th February 2012 Joan and I completed the 30K fundraising walk around Lourdes with 6 other members of HCPT Group 532.

Regretably, because of the extreme cold (-9 degrees), our friend  who suffers from MS and is in a wheelchair was unable to be pushed around the complete course. However, she did some, and also, bravely walked 5 steps unaided once we were outside of the Basilica in Lourdes.

This was to raise funds for HCPT as a whole and, in particular, our local HCPT Group 532, Wickford (of which I am the Group Leader).

I am very grateful to those who have already donated so generously to this sponsorship. Thank you all very, very much.

We will be taking 20 people with disabilities to Lourdes for a week in October 2012 and whatever money we can raise through this and other future sponsorships will go to reduce the costs for them.
