Story
Hi all,
I'm sure many of you are aware of the difficult times our family has been going through for quite some time. About a week ago whilst visiting the hospice I signed up to run the Leicester half marathon to try and raise some funds for LOROS. It was an absolute spare of the moment thing, and without checking the date of the run which is only about 12 wks away!
This will be a HUGE challenge as I haven't ran properly for some years now. But i WILL complete it. It won't be easy, but I know my father in law Mick will carry me over that finish line.
The staff and the care at this local hospice is absolutely amazing. Nothing is too much trouble for them, and they will do everything in the power to ensure patients keep their dignity and ensure families have the space they need with their loved ones.
The staff at LOROS understand. They have a heart, and they really do care about every single individual and also their families in such difficult times.
LOROS is a charity whose aim is to enhance the quality of life of adult patients with cancer, progressive neurological conditions and end-stage organ failure for whom curative treatment is no longer possible. Patients are treated at the Hospice and in the community based upon clinical need, regardless of background and the ability to pay.
So if anyone could find a few spare pounds to donate to this charity, myself, my wife Sam and the rest of the family would Massively appreciate it.
Every last penny can make a difference.
Thankyou all for you support,
Chris
