Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

After our Safari a few years ago, Kate & I have aimed to return to Tanzania.  Thinking of holidays in the dark wet days at the start of the year, I decided now was the time & why not have a challenge - Kilimanjaro was obvious and every one thought we were either joking or mad.  Many of you will know that we aim to be on top on Boxing Day.  Comments then followed, inquiring as to whether this would raise funds for a charity, so here we are.

We hope we can 'kick start' a new project of the NWT to build a Primary School, currently made of sticks & twigs with a leafy roof, that becomes unusable in strong windy, dusty or wet days.  The school has 2 rooms smaller than a badminton court, holding 120 - 130 children each.  The villagers have made mud bricks, dug sand & gravel from the river bed to make a concrete base & mortar - but they need cement and a tin roof.  A bag of cement costs over £12.00, travelling up from South Africa.  The total needed is £6000.00 and we would love to be able to raise a quarter, (£1500) of that.

As always with NWT we know that every penny raised will be spent on the project & no funds will be lost to administration.  At this expensive time of year & with other causes appealing for your money, we are very grateful for any contribution you can make.  I feel that if you have read this far, you will be supporting us, THANK YOU

WE MADE IT  - WHAT AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE

PS - Funds have been diverted from other projects and the base is down and the walls going up - I hope funds can provide the roof before the next rainy season in a few months time.

Thank you
