The Toronto Skyline Virtual Marathon · 27 June 2021

Over 1.5 million in the UK have endometriosis and the impact of the disease is for some devastating, yet diagnosis takes on average 8 years. With your donations we are turning this around, raising awareness, providing support and information, supporting research, and campaigning for change.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In celebration of turning 50 I have decided to run my first marathon, I thought this would also serve as an opportunity to pay tribute to my wife Shalini.   I have watched her battle Endometriosis for 25 years, she has endured pain and suffering far greater than I or any man can imagine, despite this she continues to come out fighting. As a mother, a businesswoman and a wife she excels in everything that she does.

When Shalini was diagnosed with Endometriosis there was very little information or support available from the NHS.  Thankfully she was able to turn to the Endometriosis UK for help. They gave her comfort that she was not alone and enabled her to develop
coping mechanisms to allow her to fight this chronic condition and manage as normal a life as possible.

Please help me raise awareness and money for a condition that is practically invisible to others but so very real and debilitating for many women.
