For some crazy reason I have decided to take part in a trek for charity across the Sahara Desert starting on the 23 February 2008 and finishing on the 2nd March 2008.

I have chosen to take part in a trek across the Sahara as a challenge for myself and also to raise funds and awareness for the benefit of War Child. I chose to support this particular charity due to the fact that over 1.5 million children have been killed in armed conflicts throughout the world over the last 10 years. Four million children have been disabled in these conflicts. Many millions more, themselves traumatised, have had their communities destroyed, or have been denied the opportunity to celebrate in full their childhood and prevented from developing the livelihood skills that they will need to live fulfilling lives as they grow.
