Story

Hi All

Miltos Makris, a very close friend, colleague, best man and Godfather of my son, suffering from a brain tumour (Glioblastoma), passed away on October 14th, 2022 at the age of 52.  A Glioblastoma is the fastest growing form of the glioma brain tumour and is extremely difficult  to treat, with just 3.3% of patients surviving beyond two years. There are treatments which can help manage the condition but no known cure exists to date.

I will be running the 10k on Saturday 12th November 2022 in Athens, Greece (Authentic Marathon), to support the Brain Tumour Charity which is the world's leading brain tumour charity and are committed to saving and improving lives for those affected by cancer and brain tumours.

I was initially registered for the full 2022 Athens Authentic Marathon but sadly a knee injury prevents me from running the full distance. Even the 10k might be a difficult task but I am determined to run the distance, especially with your support!

Please support the cause if you can!

Thank you.
