In November Chris Turner and Mike Beatty are travelling to Uganda to visit a project run by UK charity edukid
The project helps children affected by the legacy of war. In particular ex child soldiers, abductees, child led families, orphans and those with HIV/AIDS.
The project will help these children have an education and thereby give them the tools to find work and break out of the poverty they live in. This way they can support themselves and have hope of a brighter future.
Chris and Mike are trying to raise money to film a short documentary that can be used to give these children a voice. The aim is to make people aware of their situation and triple the number of children edukid help.
We go this Saturday! The film crew, football kits, and flights are all paid for! We need to buy just 27 more sewing machines to hit our target. These are for girls who have been routinely abused. The sewing machines will enable them to live independantly, earn a living and look after their siblings.
Charities pay a small fee for our service. Learn more about fees
